Grandad noted that he went to Mansfield in the afternoon as he had the previous Saturday. I presume he went to someone’s house, probably a relative, and possibly a relative of grandma’s, Grandma, Ethel Cirket, and grandad, Gordon Parkin, were “courting” at this time and would marry in 1930, see Chapter 16.
