Went to Prims Endeavour Effort.

Grandad went to “Prims” which is a reference to Primitive Methodists, in general, and to Bourne Primitive Methodist Chapel in Kirkby, specifically, see Chapter 17. He probably went with grandma, Ethel Cirket. They were “courting” at this time and would marry in 1930, see Chapter 16.

I think the phrase “Endeavour Effort” is probably part of the Sunday entry although it is possible that it spilled over onto the Monday as well. It shows that services that day, and possibly over the weekend, were taken by the local Christian Endeavour group, a group for young people in which my grandmother was active, see Chapter 17.
