Grandad had been unwell and had been in bed or in the house for a number of days but had then been out on a couple of occasions. On this occasion, he had another car ride and also went in a motorcycle sidecar. I am not sure he owned a car at this point so perhaps this was a family car. However, he did have a motor cycle and he may have had a sidecar with it, see Chapter 18.
