Went to Wollaton Park.

The previous day had been Whit Bank Holiday. It seems grandad had the Tuesday off work too so he went to Wollaton Park, see Chapter 18. He probably went with grandma, Ethel Cirket. They were “courting” at this time and would marry in 1930, see Chapter 16. I am not sure how they would have travelled but it was a round trip of about 30 miles. Grandad had a motorbike at that time.
