It was Whit Bank Holiday so grandad went to Skegness, see Chapter 18. He probably went with grandma, Ethel Cirket. They were “courting” at this time and would marry in 1930, see Chapter 16. I am not sure how they would have travelled, possibly by train but grandad also had a motorbike at that time.
