Bought Ethel a pair of Bronze figures £2 2 0.

Ethel refers to my grandmother who was Ethel Cirket at this point. She and grandad were “courting” and they would marry in 1930, see Chapter 16.
She had been born on 8 May 1901 so it was her 25th birthday. I presume these bronze figures were a birthday present, see Chapter 27. Grandad noted the purchase price which could be referred to as two pounds and two shillings or two guineas.
Sadly, I do not recall these figures and do not know what happened to them.
