Grandad went to “Prims Sermons”. “Prims” is a reference to Primitive Methodists, in general, and to Bourne Primitive Methodist Chapel in Kirkby, specifically, see Chapter 17.
Grandad referred to the Sunday School Anniversaries as “sermons” which took place over two Sundays in May, see Chapter 17.
Grandad probably went with grandma, Ethel Cirket. They were “courting” at this time and would marry in 1930, see Chapter 16.
