Grandad went to “Prims” which is a reference to Primitive Methodists, in general, and to Bourne Primitive Methodist Chapel in Kirkby, specifically, see Chapter 17. Afterwards, he went to Ray’s. Ray refers to grandma’s brother Ray Cirket. I presume grandad went there with grandma, Ethel Cirket. They were “courting” at this time and would marry in 1930, see Chapter 16.
