Grandad – Mrs Douglas left Ron’s. I cleaned the roto mower.
Mum – Went to Holy Week service – Ken took it good but not like FR. Took 3 Sinequan tabs – not too sleepy now.

Notes
Mrs Douglas Left Ron’s
Ron refers to Ron Douglas who was grandma and grandad’s next-door neighbout at 168 Drayton High Road. Mrs Douglas was Ron’s mother. She must have been staying with Ron. She had previously lived with him but moved out in 1969 with Ron’s brother John, see Chapter 91.
Grandad Cleaned the Rotary Mower
Grandma and grandad had large lawns at the front and back of thier house. These needed mowing weekly except in the winter. They had two mowers, a cylinder one and a rotary one. They had bought the rotary one in June 1973, see Chapter 109. Grandad tended to clean it after each time it was used, see Chapter 126.
Mum Went to a Holy Week Service
Mum went to a Holy Week service, see Chapter 124. It was taken by the junior Minister at St Peter’s Park Lane Methodist Church, Ken Elworthy. Mum thought it was good but not like Rev Dowson (FR), the previous Minister, to whom mum was close.

This is a still image from a YouTube video posted in 2016. It shows (at 0.42) my mother talking to Rev Dowson at an event to celebrate fifty years of St Peter’s Park Lane which was held in the eighties
Mum Took Three Doxepin Tablets
Mum had fairly recently started taking the tricyclic antidepressant doxepin (Sinequan). She was supposed to take three per day but had only been taking two as they were making her feel “muzzy” in the middle of the day, see Chapter 116. On this occasion, she took the three prescribed and noted that she was not “too sleepy now“.
