Ladies from Drayton M C went to Felixstowe. I was a little better.

Notes
Grandad was unwell at this time having had a stroke in early April, see Chapter 100. Based on handwriting, I think grandma mainly kept his diary for him between 24 April and 27 August. Mostly, she used grandad’s voice. She referred to herself in the third person and grandad in the first person. So, the reference to “I” here is to grandad.
Drayton M C is a reference to Drayton Methodist Church which grandma attended, see Chapter 107. She was part of a women’s group there and this was a trip they made to Felixstowe. They also made trips there in June and October 1970.
