Collapsed when getting out of bed. Ethel had to help me back into bed. I stayed for 2 hours.

This day started a period of ill-health for grandad and, when the doctor saw him after a couple of days, he told him that he had had a stroke, see Chapter 100.
Ethel refers to my grandmother Ethel May Cecilia Parkin. The number of hours he spent in bed is not particularly clear.
