I am not exactly sure what grandad did to the roto mower but it seems he may have repositioned the wheels. He was often tinkering with/modifying pieces of equipment! Arthur refers to his friend Arthur Elsegood who often helped him with such things, see Chapter 109.
Ethel refers to my grandmother Ethel May Cecilia Parkin. DLM refers to Drayton Ladies’ Meeting which was part of Drayton Methodist Church, see Chapter 107.
