Ethel went to DLM. Sheila took me to the hospital, they did not say I was to go again (hope not).

Ethel refers to my grandmother Ethel May Cecilia Parkin. DLM refers to Drayton Ladies’ Meeting which took place at Drayton Methodist Church, see Chapter 107.
Sheila refers to my mother Sheila May Drew nee Parkin. Grandad had had prostate surgery on 30 January 1974, see Chapter 100. I assume this was a post-op review.
