S. Patricia & Roger came for tea, Alan & Elizabeth had gone to Butlins at Clacton with their Dad. Sheila had to part pay for them.

Notes
S and Sheila refer to my mother Sheila May Drew nee Cirket. Patricia refers to my sister, Patricia Jane Carrick nee Drew. Roger refers to me. Alan refers to my brother Alan Charles Drew. Elizabeth refers to my sister Elizabeth Mary Tidy nee Drew.
After mum and dad split up (see Chapter 99), grandad rarely referred to dad by name but, as in this case, as “their dad“.
It remained our usual practice to go to grandma and grandad’s for tea on a Sunday afternoon, see Chapter 106.
We did not have a family holiday in 1973 presumably because of mum and dad splitting up. Dad took Alan and Liz to Butlin’s in Clacton, see Chapter 106. I replaced Alan at the end as he became unwell, see Chapter 100. The note about mum having to pay for part of the holiday shows that, in the conflict between mum and dad, grandad sided unsurprisingly with mum.
