I pulled 3 tea chests to pieces which Barbara gave me, Ethel rang me from Lowestoft, she also rang last Sunday 10th.

Grandad was often pulling things to pieces for the materials to use on various woodworking projects, see Chapter 109.
Barbara refers to Barbara Carpenter, grandma and grandad’s next-door neighbour who lived at 164 Drayton High Road.
Ethel refers to my grandmother Ethel May Cecilia Parkin. She was away on holiday in Lowestoft with her friend Mrs Davis, see Chapter 106.
