A Systematic Approach
In general, I have tried to take a systematic approach to the family diaries reviewing them in chronological order, focusing on topics of interest. So, the pages on this site are organised into numbered chapters grouped by time period.
Going Off at Tangents
However, I have sometimes found myself intrigued by or interested in a particular topic. Then, I have pursued this and this has led me to go off at tangents. There is no particular theme or pattern to these topics. The only thing they have in common is that they have intrigued or interested me.
Fitting the Tangents into the Systematic Approach
While I have tried to fit this tangential material into the appropriate chapters, the fit is not always easy or absolute. So, for this reason, I am creating a series of blog posts dedicated specifically to these tangents. I will continue to include this tangential material in the systematic approach as far as is possible. .
