  Finished repairing the W. Mill. Put a priming coat of paint on it. Notes W, Mill refers to windmill. For more details of the windmills grandad made, see Chapter 109.

• Wednesday 4 April 1973

  I cleaned the sails of the WM, of all broken wood & turned a centre piece for fitting the sails. Notes WM refers to windmill and grandad was carrying out repairs to the windmill he had made which had been damaged in a storm two days earlier – see Chapter 109.
