Read Droll Stories. Notes “Droll Stories” refers to a series of 30 short stories by Honoré de Balzac which originally appears in French as “Les Cent Contes Droatiques“. Written in the early 19th century, the stories were controversial and caused a great scandal. Apparently, they were banned in many countries.
