Went to Loughborough Carillon.

Grandad went to Loughborough but initially I found the second word illegible. I posted a question about this on the Kirkby Living Memory Facebook Group and am grateful to Mark Comins for spotting that it refers to Loughborough Carillon. This is primarily a war memorial but is also a bell tower and museum. It was completed in 1923.

I think he probably went by motorbike as grandad owned an Alldays Allon motorcycle between 1921 and 1931, see Chapter 18. It is about 33 miles from Kirkby to Loughborough.
