Ethel went to Norwich Hospital canteen. Men came & made the telephone work, it failed Saturday 17th.

Notes

Ethel refers to my grandmother, Ethel May Cecilia Parkin. She used to volunteer in the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital canteen, see Chapter 100.

Grandma and grandad only had a phone installed in February 1973. For more details of this, see Chapter 111.
