Could not have the electric fire at DMC trouble with the workers. They had our Paul Warmer & others lent by members. Ethel went twice to chapel.

Notes

DMC refers to Drayton Methodist Church, see Chapter 107. The “trouble with workers” refers to industrial action in the electricity sector, see Chapter 112.

The Paul Warma was a paraffin stove that grandad used, in particular, to heat his woodworking cabin.
