Tuesday 16 October 1973

Ethel went to help Sheila. Arthur also went to pull a mirror out of a wardrobe. I finished the bird table ready for painting.

Notes

Ethel refers to my grandmother Ethel May Cecilia Parkin. Sheila refers to my mother Sheila May Drew nee Parkin. Grandma was helping mum as we were moving house in two days, see Chapter 102.

Arthur refers to grandad’s friend Arthur Elsegood. I assume he was doing this job as grandad did not feel able to. I am not sure why. Perhaps, it was a bigger more physical job than finishing the bird table?

Grandad made a new bird table between August and October 1973. For more details of the work grandad did on this, see Chapter 109.
