Ethel went twice to DMC. Harvest Festival. Sheila & Fam came for tea. Sheila cut both lawns.

Ethel refers to my grandmother Ethel May Cecilia Parkin. DMC refers to Drayton Methodist Church, see Chapter 107.
Sheila refers to my mother Sheila May Drew nee Parkin. Fam stands for family. It was our practice to go to grandma and grandad’s for tea on Sunday, see Chapter 106.
Grandma and grandad had large lawns at the front and back pf their house which required frequent mowing, see Chapter 109.
