T & A refers to Tom and Amy Wilson. They were friends of grandma’s and grandad’s and they were visiting from Mansfield, see Chapter 106. For a photo of Tom, Amy and grandma at Reedham, see Chapter 80.
E refers to my grandma Ethel May Cecilia Parkin.
Dixsons refers to Dixons, a hardware/DIY store on Reepham Road in Norwich that grandad used a lot. This is now Dixons shopping centre. Initially, when I was researching the diaries, there was an excellent history of this and the family shop that preceded this on their website but, as of January 2022, this no longer seems to be accessible.
