Arthur refers to Arthur Elsegood, grandad’s friend, who often helped him with practical tasks, see Chapter 109. B table refers to bird table.
Tom and Amy refers to Tom and Amy Wilson, friends of grandma’s and grandad’s, who were visiting from Mansfield, see Chapter 106. Ethel refers to my grandma Ethel May Cecilia Parkin.
