Dolly refers to grandma’s first cousin, Dorothy Rose, who we knew as Auntie Dolly. She lived in Bedford but often visited grandma and grandad, see Chapter 106.
Grandma and grandad had large lawns at the front and back of their house which required cutting frequently, see Chapter 109.
