Monday 30 July 1973

Had a very poor day going to the loo about every 30 minutes. Sheila came & cut the lawns. She brought Dolly from the Bus Station.

Notes

Grandad’s poor health related to his prostate which he finally had operated on, see Chapter 100.

Sheila refers to my mother Sheila Drew nee Parkin. Grandma and grandad had large lawns at the front and back of their house which required a lot of mowing, see Chapter 109.

Dolly refers to Dorothy Rose who was grandma’s maternal first cousin. She lived in Bedford and often came to stay with grandma and grandad, always travelling by bus, see Chapter 106.
