Sheila & family came for tea. Ethel went twice to DMC. After tea Ethel went to Mile Cross MC. Mr Newsome & his family took her in his car.

Sheila refers to my mother, Sheila May Drew nee Parkin. It was our practice to go to grandma and grandad’s for tea on Sunday afternoon, see Chapter 106.
Ethel refers to my grandmother Ethel May Cecilia Parkin.
DMC refers to Drayton Methodist Church and Mile Cross MC to Mile Cross Methodist Church, see Chapter 107.
I don’t really know much about Mr Newsome except that he gave grandma this lift to church, see Chapters 107 and 110.
