Ron fetched me (when he called for Caroline) from Dixons an eight inch Bolt for the W.M. Price 22½p which I am still repairing, Irene D & L fetched Ken from the hospital. He did not have an operation.

Ron refers to Ron Douglas. He was grandma and grandad’s neighbour at 168 Drayton High Road. Caroline refers to his daughter.
Dixons refers to a hardware shop on Reepham Road that grandad often used, see Chapter 85.
