Ethel went to DLM. On the 2nd WED Ethel & Mrs Davies found £1.973 in the house of Mr Moore. Ethel rang the solicitor who was the executor of the will, he sent another man & he brought the money with him, Ethel & Mrs Davies would have the man take the key.
Notes
Ethel refers to grandma, Ethel May Cecilia Parkin.
DLM refers to Drayton Ladies’ Meeting, see Chapter 107.
Mr and Mrs Moore died within four days of each other, see Chapter 100. I am not sure why grandma and Mrs Davies were going through their house. Presumably, they were doing so for the family or the executor.
